Ranajit Sinha is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Ottawa, Canada, whose practice engages with the material and conceptual tensions between surface, memory, and the human condition. Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Sinha brings a cross-cultural perspective to his work, shaped by his experiences across India, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Canada.

Sinha holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Delhi College of Art and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. He later earned a second Master’s degree in Painting from Central Washington University, where he was awarded a teaching assistantship. His academic training reflects a deep commitment to both traditional and experimental approaches to image-making.

Before relocating to Canada, Sinha worked in the advertising industry with internationally recognized agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and Young & Rubicam in the UAE. This professional experience continues to inform his sensitivity to visual language and narrative construction.
